Wanda Betancourt has more than 25 years of experience in Communications and Marketing combined with four years of experience as Human Resources Senior Vice President of a transaction processing company with employees in seven countries. She has led cultural change programs to drive understanding of company vision and goals, managed explosive and emerging crises, and developed programs to improve government, trade associations, and media relations. She also has vast experience in designing social responsibility and corporate reputation programs.

As a marketer, Wanda has developed brand and service adoption campaigns, and sales support programs. She has also launched new payment services, supported the business expansion of a transaction processing company throughout Central America, and launched a regional pre-Initial Public Offering (IPO) marketing strategy to strengthen a company positioning as a fast and reliable business in which to invest.

 

She focuses her practice in the financial and health industries as well as in crisis management and data breaches.  

 

Wanda is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board and licensed by the Regulatory Board of Public Relations Professionals of Puerto Rico. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Puerto Rico Public Relations Association. She was President of the Regulatory Board of Public Relations Professionals of Puerto Rico and has taught at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and the University of Puerto Rico - Carolina. Wanda has a Master's in Communications with a Major in Public Relations from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón.
